Winterizing your landscape and irrigation

Castle Rock Water holds a winterization workshop each year to get you started thinking about the rapidly approaching fall and winter seasons. This year’s class is scheduled for Sept. 16, 6 p.m. at Town Hall Council Chambers, 100 N. Wilcox St., Castle Rock.

These workshops are presented by Water Conservation Specialist Rick Schultz, who has 30 years experience in landscape and irrigation maintenance in both the public and private sectors; and Water Conservation Plan Reviewer Ruth Stadler (M.S. in Horticulture from Colorado State University,) who has more than 20 years of designing and building xeriscapes.

The workshop reminds you to apply less water as temperatures decline and to consider other areas of maintenance that are often overlooked, including fertilization, pruning, mulching, and aeration.

Registration is required to attend this workshop.
