liveBIG 5K, 10K and Family Adventure Run

Learn to live big, enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise at the 2015 liveBIG 5K, 10K and Family Adventure Run.

LiveBIG was created to help people share the outdoors with their family and friends while exercising their bodies and minds. Come out an support a great cause.

Runners can choose their distance – 5K or 10K – and enjoy the fall colors on natural surface trails. The liveBIG Family Adventure Run will wind through kid-friendly obstacles, including the Philip S. Miller Challenge Hill, in a short 1-mile course.

Bring the kids and enjoy family-friendly activities after the races.

The liveBIG 5K, 10K and Family Adventure Run is hosted by the Town in conjunction with the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation. Proceeds from the liveBIG races will go tot he Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation. This non-profit organization is working to improve parks, recreation, trails and open space in Castle Rock.

Race Fees
10K – $35 ($40 on race day)
5K –-$25 ($30 on race day)
Family Adventure Run – $15 per person or $35 per family

Race fee includes professional, chip timing, T-shirt and goodie bags for 5K and 10K participants. Shirts can be ordered for Family Adventure Run participants for an additional $5 each. 

Adventure Run participants will be entered into a raffle for exciting prizes at the end of the run. Additional raffle entries can be purchased on race day. In the spirit of liveBIG and encouraging families to have fun together, the adventure run will not be timed. Also in the spirit of fun, it’s October – costumes are encouraged!

7:30-8:45 a.m.- liveBIG race registration and packet pick-up
9 a.m. – 10K trail run
9:30 a.m. – 5K trail run
11:30 a.m. – Family Adventure Run

LiveBIG Mission
The mission of the liveBIG is to educate youth, promote outdoor educational opportunities for youth and young adults, with an emphasis on outdoor safety and awareness.

With the help of the Parks and Trails Foundation, liveBIG also:

  • Helps strengthen family relationships.
  • Supports activities that encourage families to liveBIG together.
  • Provides outdoor activities for youth.
  • Helps young people actively enjoy the outdoors.
