Asphalt patching, overlay and reconstruction project
Asphalt patching, and overlay with curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement (late-spring through summer):

  • Involves the removal and replacement of curbs, gutters and sidewalks
  • Streets usually are worked on in groups, and the work can take eight to 12 weeks to complete
  • Consists of patching, milling or removing the existing pavement, followed by repaving
  • Resurfacing can improve driving conditions and correct improper drainage
  • The work generally lasts eight to 10 years, depending on traffic, weather conditions and other factors

Miscellaneous concrete replacement
Concrete replacement or patching (May through August):

  • Involves removing damaged sections of roads, curb, gutter, and sidewalk with new concrete

Slurry seal with concrete replacement project
Slurry seal with curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement (April through July):

  • Involves sealing cracks and patching potholes, followed by sealing the existing asphalt with slurry
  • Used on streets with light-medium traffic volumes

Asphalt rejuvenating project
Asphalt rejuvenating program (August and/or September) with curb, gutter and sidewalk replacement (May):

  • Involves sealing cracks and patching potholes, followed by applying a penetrating agent to the asphalt   
  • Used on streets with light traffic volumes

Concrete pavement restoration project
Concrete pavement joint sealing program (July and/or August):

  • Involves the removal & replacement, grinding and sealing of concrete pavement.
