Provide feedback on the design of Castle Rock Fire and Rescue’s new fire station

Protecting your life and property – that’s the duty of Castle Rock Fire and Rescue. As Castle Rock thrives, CRFD has a strategy for maintaining levels of service. Part of that plan is to build a new fire station in an area where data suggests it’s most needed: Crystal Valley.

Come see what Castle Rock Fire and Rescue has in mind during a community open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Plum Creek Golf Club, 331 Players Club Drive.

During the open house, view preliminary designs, talk with firefighters, and give your feedback.

The new fire station will be located on the northwest corner of Plum Creek Boulevard and Crystal Valley Parkway. The location was determined as part of the department’s research for the 2014-17 Fire Master Plan.

To create the plan, Castle Rock Fire and Rescue analyzed the Town’s demographics and growth rate; percentages of build-out for area developments; and calls for service and responses to various areas throughout Town. The analysis indicated the next area of need is Crystal Valley.

Design is underway now, and the new fire station is expected to open with 12 new staff members in early 2018.
