Work set to begin on new left-turn at Meadows Parkway and U.S. Highway 85, current left-turn to be c

Providing safe and smooth access along Castle Rock roadways is a priority for the Town of Castle Rock. Throughout Town, projects are planned to alleviate congestion and increase access. Soon, one project will start at the intersection of U.S. Highway 85 and Meadows Parkway.

Crews will install an additional left-turn lane from northbound U.S. 85 to westbound Meadows Parkway. The project is expected to help relieve congestion for drivers headed into The Meadows from the south end of Town.

Work is expected to start on Monday, June 26, and will take about three weeks. To do the work safely, the contractor will need to close the current left-turn lane. However, the existing lanes will be adjusted to permit left turns onto Meadows Parkway. An alternate route is to continue on U.S. 85 north to North Meadows Drive. All lanes will be open by 3 p.m. daily.

The new left-turn lane will be open when crews install a new traffic signal pole and mast arm to accommodate the additional turn lane. Due to the lead time required to manufacture the pole, this work may require additional time to complete.

Please drive safely and stay tuned to message boards in the area. View a map of all Town lane and road closures at
