Have breakfast with the future. Learn about the Town’s Comprehensive Master Plan Aug. 15

A distinct identity, responsible growth, community services and a thriving economy. That’s what residents said they wanted the Town’s future to be built upon. Thus, these are the Four Cornerstones that also make up the Town’s draft Comprehensive Master Plan.

You’re invited to view that plan. Visit CRgov.com/CompPlan, or join the Town for a breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 100 N. Wilcox St. During the breakfast, there will be a brief presentation and an opportunity to see the draft plan.

Have a question about the plan? Ask it at the breakfast, or submit it online at CRgov.com/CompPlan. The Town will make sure to answer it!

The Comprehensive Master Plan is a guiding document that defines the community’s broad and long-term direction. The Comprehensive Master Plan was last updated in 2002, and, of course, a lot has changed. This updated document looks ahead to 2030.

The community confirmed the importance of the Four Cornerstones during various outreach efforts related to the update. The draft includes information from 2013 and 2015 community surveys, open houses held throughout 2015 for this project, and last year’s open houses related to growth.

For the plan to be finalized, Planning Commission and Town Council will review the draft and determine if it’s adopted. This is expected this fall.
