Celebrate trails for a good cause at Castle Rock Trail Festival Oct. 7

Explore Castle Rock’s trails, learn to live big, and support a great cause at the Castle Rock Trail Festival. The festival combines the liveBIG run and the Ridgeline Trail Race to help participants explore the outdoors Saturday, Oct. 7.

This year, the family fun event has something for everyone – from ultra-distance runners to families with children ages 5-12. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the trails at Philip S. Miller Park and Ridgeline Open Space. Or, make memories with the entire family winding through a variety of kid-friendly obstacles at the liveBIG Family Adventure Run.

The Castle Rock Trail Festival courses include:

•50K Ultra-Marathon (approximately 31.06 miles)

o$80-$90 ($95 on race day)

•Marathon (approximately 26.2 miles)

o$80-$90 ($95 on race day)

•Half Marathon (approximately 13.1 miles)

o$50-$60 ($65 on race day)

•10K (approximately 6.2 miles)

o$30-$40 ($45 on race day)

•5K (approximately 3.1 miles)

o$25-$30 ($35 on race day)

•Family Adventure Run (approximately 1.2 miles with family friendly obstacles)

o$35 ($45 on race day)

Sign up by Saturday, Sept. 30, to get the discounted rate.

Excluding the Family Adventure Run, race fees include a T-shirt, custom finisher medal, professional chip timing, free professional photos sponsored by Sporthill and snacks. Shirts can be ordered for Family Adventure Run participants for an additional $5 each.

Following the run, don’t miss a free live concert at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park. John Adams: A Tribute to John Denver will be taking the stage at noon.

The liveBIG race was created to help people share the outdoors with their friends and family while also exercising their bodies and minds. All proceed from the event will go to the Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation. This non-profit organization is working to improve parks, trails and open space in Castle Rock.
